Parkland 4-Day Cycle

Parkland School District runs on a four day cycle. If we ever miss a day of school, such as a snow day, the day we return to school will be the day of the cycle that was missed. For example, if we have a snow day on a Thursday and it was supposed to be Day 1, when we return on Friday it will be a Day 1.
Special Dismissal Schedules

Early Dismissal Schedule: 8:50-1:45

Two Hour Delay Schedule: 10:50-3:25.
Snack
-
We will have a snack each afternoon. Your child must bring their own snack . We will continue to work while we have our snack, so please have your child bring a dry snack that is easy to manage. Only a small, healthy snack is needed. Water bottles can be brought into school to drink during snack time. A "No-Sharing" snack policy is in place within the classroom. Please do not send in any snacks with nuts due to food allergies in our classroom.
Birthdays

We love to celebrate birthdays in Room 207! Our new district policy does not allow for treats to be sent in any longer. Something new I’m trying this year is a birthday menu. The students will choose a way to celebrate in school such as extra recess, hat day, pajama day, and so forth.
Transportation

If there is a change in your child's regular dismissal routine, a note must be sent from you indicating the change or please call the office. Please do not leave a message about a change on my voicemail or email, because I may not get it by the end of the day as I am teaching. Also, please do not message me about transportation changes on ClassDojo. If I have a sub, they will not get the message.
